about

I made this album as my first deliberate composition piece. My other works prior to this I considered to meander along in a hazy abstract environment that I would envision when making the project. With Deconstruction of Mind, I wanted to create an audio journey through my mental health struggles that resulted in a "happy" ending of sorts as I don't necessarily enjoy cynicism and think it mostly pointless and redundant. It's essentially the epic proportions of the anxiety attack in my own experience and how that feels musically, as well as the re-contextualizing of it into something positive moving forward. When in that anxiety trap, there is a feeling that this will "last forever" however it does end at a certain moment. These instances in time are somewhat beyond the plane of physical existence as our anxiety can often stem from existentialism and of being outside of time too focused in our heads. This creates the "eternity" chamber where time no longer exists and can no longer function in our day to day lives. The breakout moment from this is the realization that time is only subjected to our own decisions and how we choose to break free from those. The work involved after this breakthrough is not easy either, it requires much strenuous work and dedication, as to why this portion represents the complete second half of the album.

the path to god is not a path which is of ease
it is a path of both pain
and of great satisfaction
